Summer is worst
There is also a worst time of year to sell your house – summertime. While it may seem somewhat counterintuitive, it turns out that the kinds of demographics who are able to buy a property are also the most likely to go on holiday over the summer, or at the very least avoid tackling stressful processes like moving home.
Summer may be the worst, but it’s closely followed by the winter period, stretching from November to January. During this period, people are also hesitant to buy homes, but often for the opposite reasons. People are short on money, tired, and just want to rest and get through the colder, darker months as best they can.
