Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park Family Theme Park Review

Absolutely no theme park will beat Paultons Parks, Peppa Pig World – it’s insane and I’m not even Peppa’s biggest fan. Let’s start by saying there are not enough hours in a day especially with smallies who want to go on absolutely everything but we were lucky. We went midweek as part of our UK road trip in July and luckily the kids were still in school so it worked in our favour. The best time to go to any UK theme park is the first two weeks of July, preferably midweek.

It’s a dreamland, it was a million times better than we could have ever expected. From the moment you walk in, it’s as if you are walking straight on to the set – even if it’s only a cartoon. Also, just to confirm, Peppa Pig World is just one of many areas in Paultons Park, we also did the Lost Kingdom but that also needs a whole post of its own.

All theme parks are expensive, there’s no denying that but to get the best offer you need to book online in advance. They offer family rates and children under 1 metre go free – handy if you have got a few smallies.

Peppa Pig World has nine main rides including Windy Castle, Peppa Pigs Balloon Ride, Grandpa’s Little Train, Grandpa’s Little Boat, Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Ride, Grandpa’s Sailing Club, George’s Dinosaur Adventure, Daddy Pigs Car Ride and The Queens Flying Coach Ride.

Upon entering the park you can pick up ‘lost child contact’ stickers for the kids, handy if you don’t have reusable ones – we do. Little bracelets we got from Tiger, they know not to take them off, ever.

There’s also a playground, indoor play area, muddy puddles jumping areas and you can meet Peppa Pig and friends and stroll through some of their houses too.

I didn’t manage to get any images of George’s Spaceship Playzone as it was packed with kids but it’s not to be missed. Socks must be worn at all times so if it’s summer and sandals are your show of choice make sure you pop some socks in your bag.

There are height restrictions on some rides, pretty obvious ones at that. Inside Peppa Pig World all my kids could get on anything once accompanied by an adult.

There’s a couple of sandy play area’s so if you’ve buckets and spades, bring them along.

There are numerous ‘Grab and Go’ food kiosks in Peppa Pig World and lots of shady picnic area’s – so don’t be shy, bring some food or snacks along with you. We did. We did pick up the kids healthy meal deals at the indoor play area for cheap enough which included fruit, a drink, yoghurt, raisins and a sandwich. There are loads of other restaurants around Paultons Park selling usual theme park foods like chips and burgers, so you are not limited to the one area as you have paid to come to Paultons Park, not just Peppa Pig World.

Meet ‘n’ Greets are timetabled, check it when you arrive. We missed it by minutes but thankfully the kids weren’t disappointed at all!

Make sure you set aside some cash for the gift shop on the way out or prepare for a mega meltdown, it’s massive!

And while these next two photos are not part of Peppa Pig World itself, they are at Paultons Park (again all included in your ticket). I highly recommend some swimwear and maybe a change of clothes so they can cool down especially if you get weather like we did early July – it was sweating! They have lockers if you don’t want to carry your gear around all day with you or you can rent single and double pushchairs.

We were one of the last families to leave Peppa Pig World – we didn’t want to go home. Peppa Pig World rocks! We will go back but this time for two days – there are not enough hours in one day to get around Paultons Park – one day is enough for Peppa Pig World on its own though.

Just go, do it. Save your bloody socks off – it is without a doubt one of the best theme parks for young kids in the UK.
