How to Cancel a Fashion Nova Order Before It Ships?

Sometimes, in our excitement to place an order, mistakes are made, and we must cancel our online purchases. 

When shopping online, how can you cancel a Fashion Nova order before it ships?

Because Fashion Nova prides itself on processing and shipping orders quickly, cancelling an order before it ships becomes difficult. 

To ensure a higher chance of successfully canceling a Fashion Nova order, act immediately after realizing you need to cancel by logging into your account or contacting customer service before the order is marked as “Shipped” or “Completed.”

While it is a huge plus that a company, such as Fashion Nova, offers speedy processing and delivery, the perk can become an issue when you need to cancel an order. 

According to Fashion Nova’s Help Center, the company 

“Cannot cancel or make changes to your order including, but not limited to: 

  • cancelling your order or specific items, 
  • changing payment method, 
  • changing shipping method, 
  • changing color or size of item(s), 
  • addition or removal of item(s), 
  • changing or adding a discount code, 
  • addition or removal of a gift card.”

If you cannot keep an order, Fashion Nova suggests waiting for the delivery, then initiating the return process upon receipt.

How to Cancel a Fashion Nova Order Before It Ships? 

The most important thing to do when needing to cancel a Fashion Nova order is to act quickly.

As soon as you realize you need to cancel your order, log in to your online account or contact customer service. 

To cancel online, sign in to your profile and navigate to the “Order History” or “My Orders” section. Once there, look for the order you need to cancel and check its status.

If the order is “Processing,” it means it has not shipped yet, and you may have time to cancel it if you act immediately.

If, however, the status reads “Shipped” or “Completed,” then the package is already on its way or it has been delivered. 

At this point, cancellation is no longer an option. You will need to wait to receive the order to initiate the return process and obtain a refund. 

You can also contact Fashion Nova’s customer service via email, phone, or the ‘live chat’ feature. 

Have all your order information on hand when you reach out to customer service. This will save you time and expedite the cancellation. 

Clearly state that you want to cancel your order before it ships.

What Happens Once My Fashion Nova Order Is Cancelled?

Once the cancellation is approved, you will receive an email with a reference number,  confirming the order has been successfully cancelled. 

Keep the message for your records.

Upon cancellation, Fashion Nova will begin the refund process. 

Your payment will be refunded to the original payment method within five to seven business days.

Or, if you prefer, Fashion Nova can award you store credit for future purchases. 

What Happens If I Could Not Cancel My Order?

Couldn’t cancel your order fast enough? Not to worry! 

If you can intercept the carrier, you can refuse the package upon delivery. This will automatically cancel your order.

However, this may prove difficult even with tracking notifications turned on because delays can occur. 

Additionally, if a package is delivered to a community mailbox or a location other than a home, meeting up with the delivery may prove challenging.

If you cannot catch the delivery, you will have no choice but to request a return from the company upon receipt. 

Simply follow Fashion Nova’s item return and shipping instructions carefully to avoid any issues.

Items can be returned as long as the tags are intact and the item is in new condition, showing no signs of wear or use.

Upon delivery, log in to your Fashion Nova account, go to “My Orders,” select the order you want to return, and click on the “Return” option.

Follow the instructions and print out the prepaid return shipping label.

Fashion Nova has a tough cancellation policy. As such, be aware that cancellation and return windows can be quite narrow.

Additionally, certain items are not eligible for returns, such as:

  • Promotional or Final Sale items
  • Body suits
  • Lingerie
  • Swimwear
  • Beauty products
  • Accessories – earrings and sunglasses

If the reason for the return is that the wrong item was shipped, there were missing pieces, or the item was visibly damaged, Fashion Nova’s customer service department will issue a refund once they confirm the problem.
