We were blessed with Frankie. Naptime and bedtime he is an angel, excluding the clock change, that did throw him off but last night it was business as usual. I mention his bop-bop, num-nums or teddy and he’s thundering up the stairs – waving bye-bye, blowing kisses, the lot. We don’t see him till morning. Again, we are blessed.
As a member of the Netflix Ireland and UK streamteam I get a monthly newsletter with all the latest streaming news and I have never been so excited about new releases. Netflix have announced they’re adding tons of family favourites this April so if you haven’t subbed to the movie and TV streaming giant now is the time. Here’s some of my favourite Family Classics and Animal Adventures streaming this April. (more…)
The first email I wrote to my eldest was when we were in the hospital. I set it up on my phone when she was no more than a day old. It consisted of ‘oh holy god, never again, I’m never having another baby. I’m sorry but you will be an only child’, it includes a picture of her in an incubator and her time of birth. (more…)
Adventures of Eire continues this time with a stop off at Stradbally in Co Laois to visit the Woodland Railway Station. The boy is train and truck mad so this visit was mainly for him. I’ve avoided town and all the centenary celebrations due to the bump, I just couldn’t be dealing with the crowds but we did enjoy the parade on TV. (more…)
Today the boy turned two. He hasn’t a clue what’s going on but one things for sure he thinks his mamma and sister are bat shit crazy. We’re bursting into song, acting all Larry and making it an extra special day for him. We were up and out by 10am collecting his cake and balloon. Followed by a stop off at his favourite park so he could get his hands and knee’s all mucky. It’s been a great day! (more…)
At this stage on my last pregnancy I wrote ten or so pregnancy related posts, this time not only have I avoided writing about it I have also avoided early scans and appointments too. I don’t want to be dragging two babies around a hospital for bloods and finding babysitters for scans nor did I want to relive the stressful time we went through at the beginning of my pregnancy with Kadie. I chose to wait it out, my dating scan was my anomaly scan and as my dates were a whole month off we’ve basically jumped from a pregnancy announcement to 22 weeks pregnant. I’ve just rocked half way through the second trimester. Woo! (more…)
In the past year we have visited over twenty fun family destinations in Ireland as part of our Adventure of Eire series. Next stop was The National SEA LIFE Centre on the seafront in Bray. It’s an aquatic Zoo with numerous rocky displays, home to thousands of creatures including: Black Tip Reef Sharks, Starfish, Octopus, Seahorses, Stingrays and Red-Bellied Piranha. (more…)
Nothing increases my blood pressure more than a visit to soft play, my stress levels literally go through the roof every single time. I don’t know why I do it to myself but we’ve lots of midterm days to fill and the big kid begged and begged and begged. Here’s 7 thing I hate about soft play: (more…)
This morning we had fifteen days of midterm to fill and with all three babogs screaming with energy at 10am this morning we loaded them into the car and continued our Adventures of Eire and headed off to Glendalough. It’s been many years since my last visit, so if I’m honest I had no idea what to expect or if the kids would even enjoy it. (more…)
