A couple of months I was approached to review Obeo – food waste boxes, and before you think the parenting blogger has lost her marbles, there’s a good reason behind it why I agreed. You know Frankie my man-child, the one who destroys my house on a daily basis? Yes him! Well when he found his knees, he found our bin and when he found our bin, he found the rubbish and well we all know babies and bins don’t go well together, so soon my bin was on my counter top. After a few weeks of it bugging the absolute shit out of me it ended up out the back garden by the patio door. Then we no longer had a bin but a plastic bag sitting on the draining board.
Now I can introduce you to Obeo, a mess free, easy to store, cardboard brown bag that sits neatly on my counter top away from my over active wobbler. Obeo makes it easy to dispose and recycle our leftovers and peelings in a handy hassle free food waste bag on our kitchen counter. In your face Frankie, mama wins this one!
One box last us three days, less on the weekends when everyone is home. Since using Obeo boxes we’re more aware of the waste within our home. You almost want to avoid filling it up unnecessarily.
Obeo boxes are tough, water-resistant, cleaner and greener for the enviroment and they don’t smell up the kitchen even after a day or two. They’re dead handy, once full I just pop them into the brown bin and open another one.
We have purchased Obeo food waste boxes since running out of our review supply and I would highly recommend them. They’re a small investment into becoming more environmentally friendly too.
A pack of 5 costs โฌ3.75 and they’re available in Dunnes Stores and SuperValu nationwide. They’re also soldย inย Booths stores across the North West England. There is also some great deals on theย www.obeo.ie website too. If you wish to purchase Obeo food waste boxes use voucher code ‘summerobeo15‘ to receive 25% your first order.

OMG what a fantastic idea! My husbands just been complaining to me about having the bags lying around on the counter space waiting to be filled with food waste to put out in the bin, so these are perfect… It amazes me just how much we waste! Would love to try them!
Sounds good I usually have a plastic back for my peelings ect but this would be a lot nicer.
Would love to win these!
They sound amazing!!! Would love to win them ๐
This sounds like a very good idea
That’s a great prize. It’s much easier to use a brown bin if you have a bag you can put straight into it.
At last something different
Great Idea x
These are such a great idea, we recycle everything here, and I cant stand keeping the smelly plastic food recycling containers in the kitchen. These are such a good alternative.
They’re great, I have a little compost bin but my wild chap broke the handle off it, then he managed to damage the lid, I swear he was just trying to get out of going to the compost heap!!! I make him go still though, it’s too smelly for me to be carrying down to the end of the jungle…garden, I mean garden ๐ ๐
What a great useful prize, have not heard of these before.
Perfect prize,perfect for great recycling
would love to try these better than a green bucket stuck in my house
These sound really good – I wonder how kitty safe they are tho – we have a plastic small caddy in our kitchen which we have to weigh down with a tin to stop the cats getting into it
