Creeper Crawlers is an Irish company dedicated to supporting the natural development stages of babies through fun and functional developmental products. Crawling is a vital stage of development but babies’ can slip, bump and bruise themselves on wood, tiles and laminate floors and Creeper Crawler suits provide additional traction to enhance the natural developmental stages of infants.
I received a 12-18m mint green Creeper Crawler suit for Frankie last month. On a first glance it was just a sleep suit with rubber bugs placed on the soles, knees and foot in a cute colour. But once it was on, he turned into SuperBaby! The rubber bugs created friction allowing him to fly across our wooden floors. Like I mean he was gone! There was no stopping him. I need eyes in the back of my head when it’s on. That being the main reason I struggled to get some snaps of him crawling in his onesie for this review. I can see why it would benefit a younger baby learning to crawl, creating traction and support to help promote development with crawling.
The poppers go all the way down the leg making nappy changing easier than the average sleep suit. It’s fit is true to size and the quality of the fabric is excellent, it’s 100% cotton. It also washes very well, after eleven washes it hasn’t lost shape or faded, it still looks as good as new. It’s not tumble dry safe and I wouldn’t recommend ironing the little bugs (not that I do the ironing in our house). My only fault with this product is I’d like to see them available in more colours, preferably darker ones. The onesie shows how much I lack on keeping my floors clean.
The Creeper Crawlers sleep suit is a brilliant invention and I would highly recommend it. These suits are a very effective way of helping your baby to crawl successfully and in my opinion safely.
