I’ll be honest, Elf on the Shelf is the bane of my life and he’s a creepy looking little creature but in the coming weeks, almost every household with young kids will be under elf surveillance including my own. If I could un-adopt the little bollox, I would. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve forgotten to move the little shit, reluctantly dragging myself out of the bed to put him somewhere new and adventurous for the big kid. (more…)
The Haakaa breast pump has been all over my feeds the past couple of months, from readers to online parenting websites and bloggers recommending it so I ordered one from Amazon to see what all the fuss was about. And no, the Haakaa is a one piece silicone breast pump, not the traditional dance of the Māori people of New Zealand as my other half thought – I think he was a bit disappointed when I told him too. Although he did get great craic teaching the kids to stomp their feet and to make funny faces and noises as I fed and pumped away in my little corner. (more…)

Come October I’m always on the lookout for new places to visit Santa, places that will not just excite the kids, we want adventure, awesome Santa’s, one who may even know my kid’s name! We want a fun filled family day out, one that leaves a lasting impression. For the past 18 years, Team Hope has been delivering Christmas boxes right into the hands of children in the remotest and poorest parts of the world and these Christmas shoeboxes may be the only thing these children may receive this Christmas. I have to admit, I was so excited upon hearing about the new boohoo kids clothing range launch earlier in the month, I’ve always been a huge fan. The boohoo kids collection is made up of 70% girls wear and 30% boys wear, available in sizes from age 5-6, up to age 11-12.
