A couple of weeks back Organix Goodies sent the babogs some treats in the form of their new Banana and Sweet Cinnamon Organix Puffcorn that are due to launch this month. My kids are huge popcorn eaters, I think it’s a great alternative snack for little ones. I’m usually a huge fan of Organix Goodies, those little soft oaty bars hang out in the glove box of my car and in the baby bag, I never let them run out. Little life savers. However, these little flavoured Puffcorn treats didn’t go down too well, with any of the kids. (more…)
Due to a blood condition, I will never be allowed donate blood but I’m very supportive of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS). Today is World Blood Donor Day and this week also marks Blood For Life Week (13th-17th of June) and with this in mind, I’ve decided to put together a little post in hope that anyone in a position to donate will consider donating, or will help pass the message on that the IBTS needs your blood. This week aspiring author Nicola Cassidy of ladynicci.com features with her undiagnosed breech birth story. I love how Nicola writes this piece, I love how she writes in general. Today she shares her “overwhelmingly positive experience” with an undiagnosed breech and c-section. (more…)
I’m feeling very pregnant, up until this point I’ve pretty much winged it. Then this heatwave landed and it has knocked me for six. At 33 weeks pregnant I’m walking around the house half-naked, windows and doors open and spraying myself with mist every ten minutes. Did I mention I’m showering 3-4 times a day? I couldn’t care less what destruction the kids get up to while I’m in there. (more…)
This week we have Geraldine Renton from It’s Me Ethan sharing some wise words and her birth story, or birth stories. She’s birthed three beautiful boys in different ways. It just goes to show, not all labours are the same even for one mama. (more…)
Lovely bit of sun here in Dublin, and to top if off Daddy
had a whopper hangover and decided to take the day off. After a four hour nap with Frankie this morning, I was full of beams. Let’s go the beach I said. It will be fun I said.
It’s amazing what a bit of sleep can do for you. I feel like a new woman now that we have a solid routine, a strict one that I’m abiding too because as selfish as it might sound to some I’m reeking the benefits. There have been slip-ups of course but my kids have all slept in their own bed for naps and throughout the night. I won’t lie, I miss the cuddles something terrible but at 32 weeks pregnant I need the rest. Putting Kadie into her own room has been one of the best decisions we’ve made as a family in a long time.
During the rare heatwaves, my little babogs always seem to go on a food strike, and if I’m honest it stresses me out something terrible at times. I’ll try anything to keep them snacking, cool and hydrated, and these little healthy snacks seem to be working a treat. (more…)
UV Buddy is a small family run business based in the UK. Created by husband and wife James and Gemma when they decided to act on their concerns of prolonged exposure to the sun and the very harmful effects that ultraviolet light can have on your skin. They then decided to produce accessories in the name of UV buddies that would help raise awareness by providing adults and children alike with guidance and teaching them how to stay safe in the sun.
