I’m feeling very pregnant, up until this point I’ve pretty much winged it. Then this heatwave landed and it has knocked me for six. At 33 weeks pregnant I’m walking around the house half-naked, windows and doors open and spraying myself with mist every ten minutes. Did I mention I’m showering 3-4 times a day? I couldn’t care less what destruction the kids get up to while I’m in there. (more…)
This week we have Geraldine Renton from It’s Me Ethan sharing some wise words and her birth story, or birth stories. She’s birthed three beautiful boys in different ways. It just goes to show, not all labours are the same even for one mama. (more…)
Lovely bit of sun here in Dublin, and to top if off Daddy
had a whopper hangover and decided to take the day off. After a four hour nap with Frankie this morning, I was full of beams. Let’s go the beach I said. It will be fun I said.
It’s amazing what a bit of sleep can do for you. I feel like a new woman now that we have a solid routine, a strict one that I’m abiding too because as selfish as it might sound to some I’m reeking the benefits. There have been slip-ups of course but my kids have all slept in their own bed for naps and throughout the night. I won’t lie, I miss the cuddles something terrible but at 32 weeks pregnant I need the rest. Putting Kadie into her own room has been one of the best decisions we’ve made as a family in a long time.
During the rare heatwaves, my little babogs always seem to go on a food strike, and if I’m honest it stresses me out something terrible at times. I’ll try anything to keep them snacking, cool and hydrated, and these little healthy snacks seem to be working a treat. (more…)

They then decided to produce accessories in the name of UV buddies that would help raise awareness by providing adults and children alike with guidance and teaching them how to stay safe in the sun. I really can’t believe we are hitting week #7 of the birth story series. I’m in awe how many of you have contributed, bloggers and lots of non-bloggers too. This week Laura from Mum I Am is sharing her birth story, the longest labour ever, little Cian is only a few weeks old now, welcome to the world little one. (more…)
The past month has been awful here on the sleep front. I’ve broken down in tears too many time to count in recent weeks due to utter exhaustion. Yesterday Joe and I agreed without argument (for a change) that it was time to give Kadie her own room – in hope she would settle better at night. Wishful thinking but we are at the stage now that we just need some sleep… (more…)
I get asked regularly how I do it, how I keep my reach, how I get to review all the cool stuff with the four kids, and I always reply that it’s because I absolutely adore blogging. It’s more than a just a hobby for me. In fact, right now it’s my job. I actually cannot believe I’ve just typed that but it’s true. I started this blog with nothing and built it with the help of google, other bloggers, conferences and Facebook groups. (more…)
Following my rather glowing review of Kadie’s beautifully crafted wooden keepsake box, I have a £35 Dust and Things voucher to giveaway to spend how you like… (more…)
