Today I received a complimentary Mum’s Box, Irelands first subscription box service dedicated solely to mums and mums to be. Back in December, I wrote this post having received the press release about the box and I had planned on purchasing one but the creator happens to be a good friend and gifted the box to me with no obligation to review but I have decided to do a write up anyways. The website states each box is filled with hand-picked health and beauty items including cosmetics, bath products, sweet treats, hair care products and surprise novelty gifts and it’s delivered to your door each month. Gift Guide For Baby Christmas 2016

Just like last year, my gift guides have some practicality to them. Newbies and young babies don’t actually play with toys so there is no point spending hundreds on toys for ‘ah they’ll grow into them’ because really they don’t, by the time they ‘grow’ into them a birthday has passed or a Christening and the junk piles up. Here’s a list of gifts for a baby up to about 12 months. I have received some of the products featured for review but I have purchased everything in the main gift thread for the new babog or prior to receiving a review copy. (more…)
HaaKaa Breast Pump Review

The Haakaa breast pump has been all over my feeds the past couple of months, from readers to online parenting websites and bloggers recommending it so I ordered one from Amazon to see what all the fuss was about. And no, the Haakaa is a one piece silicone breast pump, not the traditional dance of the Māori people of New Zealand as my other half thought – I think he was a bit disappointed when I told him too. Although he did get great craic teaching the kids to stomp their feet and to make funny faces and noises as I fed and pumped away in my little corner. (more…)

Purite Ireland Lotions & Potions Skincare Review

Recently Purite Ireland sent me a selection of their natural and handmade products for the kids and I to try out. I’d never heard them previously but after a bit of research, I fell in love with their business idea and soaps, man their soaps look like they belong in a bakery. All of the products over at Purite Ireland contain natural substances derived from plants (more…)
