Invest in a Portable DVD Player or Tablet
On a recent trip to Disneyland Paris I would have been lost without Mamma Mia, my little one loves musicals and it kept her entertained before, during and after our flight. Even though the portable dvd added some bulk and weight to my bag, it was invaluable whilst travelling. If you choose to bring a tablet download some favourites movies before you leave and don’t forget to pack some ear phones too.
We were blessed with Frankie. Naptime and bedtime he is an angel, excluding the clock change, that did throw him off but last night it was business as usual. I mention his bop-bop, num-nums or teddy and he’s thundering up the stairs – waving bye-bye, blowing kisses, the lot. We don’t see him till morning. Again, we are blessed.
As a member of the Netflix Ireland and UK streamteam I get a monthly newsletter with all the latest streaming news and I have never been so excited about new releases. Netflix have announced they’re adding tons of family favourites this April so if you haven’t subbed to the movie and TV streaming giant now is the time. Here’s some of my favourite Family Classics and Animal Adventures streaming this April. (more…)
The first email I wrote to my eldest was when we were in the hospital. I set it up on my phone when she was no more than a day old. It consisted of ‘oh holy god, never again, I’m never having another baby. I’m sorry but you will be an only child’, it includes a picture of her in an incubator and her time of birth. (more…)
Today the boy turned two. He hasn’t a clue what’s going on but one things for sure he thinks his mamma and sister are bat shit crazy. We’re bursting into song, acting all Larry and making it an extra special day for him. We were up and out by 10am collecting his cake and balloon. Followed by a stop off at his favourite park so he could get his hands and knee’s all mucky. It’s been a great day! (more…)
Nothing increases my blood pressure more than a visit to soft play, my stress levels literally go through the roof every single time. I don’t know why I do it to myself but we’ve lots of midterm days to fill and the big kid begged and begged and begged. Here’s 7 thing I hate about soft play: (more…)
As much as I would like to think Frankie has calmed down, he’s still as wild as ever. He’s a ball of never-ending energy. As he approaches the big two he has become more independent but he’s also getting frustrated with the auld language barrier. He has a total of 40-50 words but they’re mostly food or Paw Patrol related, banana and Marshall being the two most widely used. If he could put sentences together I’m pretty sure this is what ‘advice’ he’s giving to his toddler friends. (more…)
A question asked quite regularly.
Blogging is my hobby, as is reading to another. I don’t drink so there’s no chilling out with a glass of wine in the evening. I hate the cinema, I get restless legs
because I’ve been pregnant the past three years. I can’t knit. And there’s only so much Netflix one can watch. When I take out my laptop put my feet up and write it helps me unwind. It’s what I enjoy doing. I love writing, it’s my passion. (more…)
As part of the Netflix #streamteam I receive a monthly newsletter with all the latest Netflix news, releases and sometimes little tasks. This month Netflix have asked bloggers to let our kids over take our blog and form a #lilstreamteam allowing them to share what they love about Netflix and their mums. So here she is my little stream teamer sharing all her favourites things about Netflix and me!
I do love a good book. I also like books about parenting, you know the honest tales and fails. I like the fails more, they make me feel normal. These books are sure to give you a good auld belly laugh. However none of these books are for the faint hearted or book club I could imagine. These books are for adults eyes and ears ONLY!
