  1. Well done. When I advise pregnant women about feeding baby (I’m a midwife!). I always say don’t make your mind up until baby is here. Be prepared for both methods but wait till you see baby. Sometimes it’s easier to decide then X

  2. woohoo, go you! You need to shout this from the rooftops! Bust those myths!! In over 8 years supporting mums, I’ve found many are more open to hearing it from mums who’ve experienced both. You go girl!

  3. I am the girl who couldn’t breastfeed because of medication that I needed that would hurt my baby . I think that a lot of women feel terrible guilt about not been able to breastfeed and for any mother feeling this way . The milk is only as good as the mother is . ” if you have an illness and choose to breast feed and not take your medication. What harm will this have to the child in the future ?
Every mother needs to do what is right for her . No judge or jury .

    • First of all, I hope you don’t think I’m judging mums on the way they choose to feed their babies. I’m not and never will, sure I’ve three babies two formula fed from the first feed and my third was breastfed for just over a week. I’m simply just smashing my own myths on breastfeeding and some of the struggles I faced.
Secondly please don’t feel guilty. You may not have had a choice but you did what was best for you and your baby. I know if I was in your position I would have done the exact same and owned my decision.
