I don’t know if you know already but I’m a member of the Irish Netflix stream team and if I’m completely honest, I suck at it. We watch Netflix daily alright but I’m not great at sharing ‘what we are watching’ purely because I personally don’t like reading that kind of blog post. But then Netflix began streaming Beat Bugs last month. So if you’re sick of Paw Patrol and a fan of really good music continue reading.
We’ve been bingeing on a new animated TV show inspired by music from The Beatles called Beat Bugs. Basically, it’s a show that revolves around the lives of five charming and funny child-like bugs with energetic personalities, a bit like me own. Beat Bugs, Jay, Kumi, Crick, Buzz and Walter (the daddy as the toddler would say) explore, problem solve and share heartwarming stories about friendship in an overgrown suburban backyard.
Having watched the Beat Bugs too many times to count and being a true Beatles fan I absolutely love how the show introduces the beloved archives of Beatles classics to a new generation. My toddler is now singing ‘All You Need Is Love’ and ‘Lucy In The Sky Is Diamonds’. Robbie Williams, Sia, P!nk, Aloe Blacc and The Lumineers are just some of the musicians who cover the classic Beatles hits.
It’s a beautiful series, most probably the cutest show I’ve watched in a long time and the toddler is obsessed. It has knocked Paw Patrol for six here.
So if you are sick to your teeth of Paw Patrol honestly check out Beat Bugs. On the bible, I dunno how I would have got through the past few weeks feeding the newbie without it. And as an added bonus series two premieres worldwide next month and I’m more excited than the kids.
I know, my wheelie bin goes out more than I do.
As a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam I received an Apple TV and a year’s subscription.
I haven’t heard of this (probably because my two constantly choose paw patrol), so I’ll show them this. We love Netflix x

This sounds great! I do get sick of the same childrens tv shows all the time. xxx
Never heard of these before. But we don’t really watch Netflix. Only movies really. Might give this a go because chloe loves music programmes.

We’re part of the #streamteam too. We absolutely love this show. It’s so adorable. I love getting to sing along and Evie loves the little bugs. x
Netflix is amazing for series! I watch all my Pretty Little Liars on there and their own commissioned series are usually really good too 🙂 Beat bugs looks great, will have to check it out with the toddler! x
I love Netflix so much. We haven’t watched this series, but it looks great. Will have to give it a go x
