I Forgot to Take My Pill is written by actress, stand-up comedian and blogger Sharyn Hayden. It’s a no-holds honest, laugh-out-loud and highly relatable account of what life is like for first-time mothers.

Throw out all those pregnancy and parenting books people, I Forgot to Take My Pill is the only book you will need. Sharyn sums up pregnancy, labour and parenting in twenty-two easy read bite-size hilarious chapters. From opening the book I knew I was going to love it. The humour within the opening prologue ‘Vaginal Trickery’ had me within the first pages. I literally could not put it down.

Sharyn Hayden writes her real life experiences from the hormonal craziness that pregnancy is, labour, the unsolicited parental advice we all receive, what to expect, what not to expect and the ups and down of motherhood including frantic ordeals like the late night chemist runs for Calpol/Nurofen we have all been through.

It’s absolutely brilliant! It’s the funniest, most authentic and open account of motherhood I have ever read. If you want the truth, reassurance and a good ole laugh this is the book for you. Without a doubt, I’ll be buying ‘I Forgot to Take My Pill’ for any friends or family having their first baby.

The book is available to purchase on Amazon.
